Hello Everyone,
As some of you may have heard from our Green Bay correspondent, Gladie, our little girl Allie just underwent surgery. We took her running in the snow and she torn her ACL (ligament that dogs and humans have in the knee) in two. She had surgery on Wednesday and has the shaved leg, stitches and a humiliating cone to prove it. Here she is--don't laugh at her cone, she is really embarrassed about it. She would kill me if she knew I posted these photos of her.
This weekend Tim went to GB to visit Nanny and Jim, and then went to our land to prepare the trees for maple syrup making! He had a great time enjoying the weather up north but he missed the wonderful couples baby shower I hosted for my good friend Christa and her wonderful husband Chris. The guests were required to dress up as new parents. There were some great costumes--Super hero parents, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, and a breast feeding father. I was going to be a deshelved working mom but thought someone else would do that so I was organic mom instead. I worn birkenstocks and wool socks, a hippie looking shirt, dreadlocks in my hair and of course, my baby was straped to my body in a sling all night. My baby's name was Karma and she drank green seaweed from a bottle. Here is a photo of Christa and I --she and Chris dressed up as modern parents who wear all black and make their new born even wear black diapers--pretty darn funny.
