Hello Everyone,
As some of you may have heard from our Green Bay correspondent, Gladie, our little girl Allie just underwent surgery. We took her running in the snow and she torn her ACL (ligament that dogs and humans have in the knee) in two. She had surgery on Wednesday and has the shaved leg, stitches and a humiliating cone to prove it. Here she is--don't laugh at her cone, she is really embarrassed about it. She would kill me if she knew I posted these photos of her.
This weekend Tim went to GB to visit Nanny and Jim, and then went to our land to prepare the trees for maple syrup making! He had a great time enjoying the weather up north but he missed the wonderful couples baby shower I hosted for my good friend Christa and her wonderful husband Chris. The guests were required to dress up as new parents. There were some great costumes--Super hero parents, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, and a breast feeding father. I was going to be a deshelved working mom but thought someone else would do that so I was organic mom instead. I worn birkenstocks and wool socks, a hippie looking shirt, dreadlocks in my hair and of course, my baby was straped to my body in a sling all night. My baby's name was Karma and she drank green seaweed from a bottle. Here is a photo of Christa and I --she and Chris dressed up as modern parents who wear all black and make their new born even wear black diapers--pretty darn funny.

Hello Everyone. (remember to scroll down to see all the photos)
Mom, Pam, Laney and Kinsey visited Tim, Timber, Ali and I in MN this weekend. We had lots of fun even though it was too cold to much outside the house. I got a good dose of what its like to be a hard workin' mom. I am learning from two of the pros. I am still amazed at how well Pam keeps her cool while changing diapers and organizing herself for a jewelry show, and how when mom TOUCHES, yes--merely touches, a screaming baby, the baby falls instantly to sleep. I took lots of notes. Pam went to a former Capella co-workers place and had a very successful party on Saturday night! Way to go Pam. I think Tim must of realized that adults give up their schedule and ability to get anything done b/c he has been in the basement all day staining and hanging shelves--A project he has been meaning to get to for years. I think he is realizing he better do all his projects now b/c he won't have time after a baby. Here is a photo of Grandma and Kinsey--6 weeks old yesterday.
Here is Laney and her best buddy, besides Maggie, Elmo!
Here is Laney sporting evidence that once again Grandma snuck her too many chocolates. No shame! See! Kinsey instantly fell asleep when Grandma picked her up.

We love visitors in MN. Please come and stay with us when you have time. You are always welcome.

Happy New Year ! I apologize for the delay with the blog site but my camera wasn't working.

Lots of news this week. Another addition to the clan, and a new job to celebrate in the Metzler family. Pam and Matt brought another little girl into the world yesterday. I don't have any pictures yet but hopefully I will be able to post some soon. 8 lbs, 10 oz, 19 inches long--I may have those measurements wrong--Sorry Pam. Her name is still being decided on, and I don't want to guess and get the spelling wrong. And Sam starts a new job today! Good Luck Sam. Here are a few photos from Christmas 2006. This is a picture of Morgan. What a cutie!

Here are pictures of Christmas at Tim's sisters, that is Nancy and Tim, and then Tim on his new toy. Yes, I did marry a wood tic, and I love him.
